Virginia Beach Fall 18U Fastpitch PONY Platinum Invitational Tournament

September 16 & 17, 2006

Princess Anne Commons Athletic Complex; Virginia Beach, VA

Entry fee $475.00 Must be received by September 1, 2006 to be considered for play.

This is an invitational event; only 16 teams will be accepted for play.

Each team must fill out and submit our entry form, mail entry fee and provide the information requested on the accompanying team history form as well as the Official Recruiting Information Sheet to be considered. Teams will be notified of acceptance no later than September 1, 2006.

All teams will play 6 games over the course of the two days. We will use four fenced and lighted fields at the new Princess Anne Commons Athletic Complex. No team will play more than three games on any day. We will use a 43’ pitching distance in all games and the NCAA 10 second pitching rule will be in effect. Games will be 1:30 minute time limit (weather conditions permitting).

Over three hundred college coaches will be invited to attend this event.



Teams must be PONY registered.

IMPORTANT POLICY INFORMATION
    Read the following information and check each box to indicate your agreement. Your registration will not be accepted if the boxes are not checked.
  The entrance fee must accompany the certificate of registration. The certificate of registration must be postmarked and sent to the Galaxy of Stars Eventsoffice on or before September 1, 2005 to guarantee consideration. All late applications will be placed on a wait list for review. Upon acceptance, the fee is non-refundable. If your team is accepted and later withdraws the non-refundable entry fee, sanctions will be placed against your team/club for future participation in Galaxy of Stars Events. Make check or money order payable to Galaxy of Stars Events, Inc. All applications will be online and no faxed applications will be accepted. In order for the Tournament Committee to evaluate your application, it is imperative that each team submits correct/complete information. If necessary, league administrators will be contacted for verification of stated information. Notification of Acceptance will be via e-mail. Verbal acceptance will not be granted. Please note that if a club enters multiple applications for its member teams, each team will be evaluated individually and the tournament committee will make a decision on a per team basis and NOT a club basis.
       
  There are no early or guarantees of acceptance. All decisions made by the Tournament Committee are final. No exceptions will be made for late or missed applications, or missing information. By checking this box the applicant is verifying that they are aware of all the tournament rules, acceptance procedures, and time lines. They are also validating their knowledge that if their team is not accepted, only a physical mistake by the tournament committee is grounds for change. (i.e. misplaced application, lost check, etc.) No e-mail or phone call will delay or influence the tournament committee’s decisions. Also, teams will not be added after the final schedule is released.
       
  To insure the quality of service provided at the Fall Platinum Showcase. Galaxy of Stars Events has appointed S & E Tournament Sports management official Hospitality Service of the tournament. All teams must book any hotel reservations through SETSM to insure their place in the Fall Platinum Showcase. Any teams that do not comply will be at risk of forfeiting their acceptance.
